About

Hi. I’m Debbi. At nearly 57 years of age, a mother of six, grandmother of three, wife of the same man for 36 years, my musings nearly always include food. I’ve spent so many years either planning, cooking, eating, or cleaning it up that you could say it’s consumed me 😉

Too bad all the practice hasn’t made me perfect. My daughter-in-law Bryn says I always use two words to describe my cooking: zippy and dicey.  She’s right. The family seldom complains, but I’m pretty hard on myself because as far as I’m concerned I have a hard time getting it just right. The trouble is that all my delicious memories of the way things should taste are really, really hard for me to match. It’s nostalgia vs. reality in my kitchen.  I’d love to turn zippy and dicey into fabulous, and so I thought hey, maybe if not at my table I can do it in the cloud…or at least I can blog about it.
